Social commitments
As part of the Social commitment Calicut Town Service Co-operative Bank has the following ventures:
- A Neethi Medical Store is operating in KPKM Road, Government Medical College(Beach) for providing Allopathy medicines at 16%–70% discount rates.
- The Bank has taken the initiative to build a children’s park, Toilets etc for Kozhikode Achuthan Girls LP School. Electrification of Kozhikode Model School was also done by the Bank.
- Farmers’ Clubs were formed for producing pesticide-free organic vegetables and fruits. Seeds, Vegetable saplings, organic manure were distributed. Sale of organic vegetables also conducted.
- Festival sales were held to give relief in the rising costs of commodities and vegetables.
- Sambharam was distributed at Beach Hospital, Francis Road etc. to quench thirst and combat the rising temperatures
- Relief funds given to people evacuated from storm-hit areas to the disaster relief camp at Parappil LP School
- Food for one day food is sponsored by the Calicut Town Bank to the inmates of Santhi Bhavan, the Mental Rehabilitation Centre at Kundaithodu.
- Medical aid was provided to the families of terminally ill patients coming within the operations circle of the Calicut Town Bank
Neethi Medical Store
The modern lifestyle food habits, lack of exercise etc. is giving rise to a plethora of diseases attacking mankind. Good medicines are needed to control, cure and at times prevent these diseases. But given the rising costs of medicines ordinary people can never afford them.
The Calicut Town Service Co-operative Bank has started a Neethi Medical Store in Jawahar Building, KPKM Road, Government General Hospital (Beach), Calicut with an aim to bringing medicines at subsidized rates to people from all walks of life. Since 5 years medicines are being sold through this outlet at great discounts. This venture is part of our social commitment towards the society and we value the trust of our customers.

- Medicines are stored in air-conditioned room at specified temperatures and hence the customers can get medicines without losing the quality.
- Customers within 2 km radius of the Neethi store can order medicines by email, whatsapp and home delivery is provided without extra cost on request.
